About Travis:

Travis is my husband, and we have been married for 9 years now…in my book, that earns him a page on my blog. I talk about him often, and we do lots of things together, so it just makes sense to include him. I commonly refer to my husband as my Fluffy. I do know that this is weird. Really weird. But I don’t care. It is endearing, and refreshingly, I might add, not the overly used “honey” or “babe” etc…but for the love of cheese and crackers, WHY??

Short answer? It pretty much as to do with his hair. Observe exhibit A:

Clearly, his hair is very fluffy…and therefore a source of comfort and joy for me…it is symbolic of the fact that he continues to bring me comfort and joy. We have been married over 9 years now!! We just celebrated our 9th anniversary on August 12th.

Want to see some wedding photos? (Of course you do!) here they are:

So that’s a little taste of our wedding…I would post all the photos if I could, but there are WAY too many! :)

Sooo…how did we meet??

I used to work for a makeup line at a department store, and a friend of mine’s boyfriend’s (at the time) brother Travis picked us up after work to go to a party. From there, Travis and I became friends, and started hanging out. We got closer and closer as friends, and I loved hanging out with him, and he with me. He was so entertaining! (And still is). :)

So we were at a party for New Year’s, and he asked me where I was going to be at midnight. I said I didn’t know. he said “well I wanna be wherever you are” (awww, swoon!) and I said okay.

So we kissed at midnight, for the first time, and didn’t pull apart FOREVER. After the foreverness, the first thing out of Travis’ mouth was: “how does four kids sound to you?” Nothing about dating, or even marriage, he just went straight for the kids. I was surprised (but not really) to hear myself say “Sounds good to me!”

And that was that. We were married that August. Still no kids (by choice) but we certainly want to have kids when we grow up :)

A little more about Travis:

Travis is a very talented guiter player/singer/songwriter. He has had various bands, one of which I got to be in as a backup singer. The songs that he writes are all very full of life and honesty…sometimes too much honesty for some people, but I think they are awesome.

Travis is not afraid to speak his mind and tell it as he sees it. He has a lot to say, and doesn’t mind saying it. He is the kind of guy that wears his heart on his sleeve. I absolutely adore that about him. he’s not the type of guy you have to play guessing games with, or get them to talk about their feelings. If anything, I have to hold him back!

He works as a server for a living. He takes a lot of pride in his work, and loves serving his customers. He is fun loving, and constantly doing something new. He loves to collect media, play guitar, play video games, and write songs. He also loves to disc golf, which is what got me started with it, because it’s something fun and outdoorsy we can do together.

My Fluffy is the love of my life, and we keep growing closer despite challenges, differences, and well, our own impatient and prideful human selves. We are very blessed to have found one another, and I am very blessed to have him in my life.
